BACKSTAGE

Once upon a time in the future,
when the metallic glare of one of the desks reflected the slowly swinging dark green of an outside
world that had remained the same despite an ever growing appetite for normalness in that world,
invisible odor molecules of some well deserved coffee and a forgotten salami sandwich were filling
the dense air of the room,
and nineties hip-hop was still echoing through the speakers, but this time sounding just a little more
intense than before,
six people were sitting in that room, one of them heavily gesturing on the phone, the other five busy
creating images, only accountable to the judgement of their own eyes,
but all of them temporary deprived of the ability to control some of their body parts, judging by the
way they all were hitting their receptive ergonomic mouses and keyboards with the tips of their
tongues hanging just out of their mouths, or biting their own lips in a way that would make them feel
that even the day after today…
